Portugal and Italy are not in the best shape. Read our 1×2 football predictions below.

The most interesting match on Monday by the League of Nations is undoubtedly between Portugal and Italy.
The team of Portugal

European champion Portugal failed to reach the world this summer and dropped to the final table after losing 1:2 from Uruguay. The team won only one of their four World Cup matches, which was a 1-0 victory over Morocco. Fernando Santos’s graduates managed to score at least one goal in each game, but that was not enough for anything else. This Thursday, the Portuguese played control over Croatia, which finished 1:1. Santos uses some new names in this game. Riccardo Quaresma, as well as Cristiano Ronaldo, was not called. Ronaldo will miss and play against Italy because of accumulated cards from the World Cup. The attack is expected to be led by Sevilla Andrea Silva, assisted in the back by Bernard Silva from Manchester City this time.

The Italian team

The new start for Italy under the direction of Roberto Mancini was not particularly good. On Friday, Italians only reached 1: 1 at home against Poland. In this match Mancini bets back to the national team Mario Balotelli. He did not impress with his appearances and was replaced in the 78th minute by Torino’s Andrea Belotti. Serie A scorer Ciro Immobile was left on a bench and did not even record minutes. No wonder now that someone from Immobile and Belotti is to be preferred to Balotelli at the top of the attack. The match against Poland was sixth under the new management of Mancini, so far he only recorded one victory, which was 2:1 over Saudi Arabia.

Portugal presented itself at a decent level in its control against Croatia, despite the absence of Ronaldo, who will surely miss the team. Italy and Roberto Mancini still can not feel the right beat, and against Poland the adzurs were not at the level again. It seems as if both teams are not in the best position lately and the draw would be a logical outcome of the game.
